General Manager, Payments - Sydney

We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute General Manager with an in-depth knowledge of online payment solutions and of both the payment facilitator and aggregator model.


The ideal candidate will be an enterprising, self-motivated, resourceful strategic thinker that is able to deliver on setting up and advance operations, financial performance and the long-term vision for the company.


Key Responsibilities


Management within a Group Environment – both locally and globally

  • Collaborating with department heads to manage overall performance, profitability, and growing local market share.
  • Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, engagement and close communication.
  • Reporting to the Regional Manager of Operations

Operational Management

  • Managing all daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective practices
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with financial and corporate regulations while working with third party contractors.
  • Following company policies and industry regulations and standards

 

Sales and business development

  • Support and drive sales by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and service levels with internal and external clients and partners.
  • Promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Reporting an analysis of company performance and identifying new areas of growth.


Qualifications and skills


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in management, leadership, and sales.
  • Strong understanding of the payments industry and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial management, managing budgets, P&L, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated resilience, sound judgement and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
