Project Engineer - Moate or Nenagh

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Project Engineer to join a leading company in road construction and maintenance in Ireland.

 

As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning, supervision and delivery of routine and non-routine maintenance across 343 structures on the National Road and Motorway Network within Midlands region. You will be reporting to the Project Manager, and play a key part in ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure projects to the highest standards.

 

Key responsibilities:

-             Overseeing major civil projects, particularly bridges and road infrastructure

-             Managing teams, planning and scheduling works, allocate resources, and ensuring compliance

-             Operating with high level of autonomy

-             Overseeing site setting out, supervising and coordinating subcontractor

-             Ensuring compliance with TII standards

-             Surveying network infrastructure, identifying defects and suggesting improvements

-             Maintaining project records, costing and reporting

-             Liaising with TII, local authorities, emergency services, and stakeholders

-             Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards


Key requirements:

-             Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering

-             5+ years previous experience in civil engineering or road maintenance

-             Experience with one of the following: drainage system, pavements, road surfacing, signage, bridges or landscaping

-             Familiarity with TII standards and traffic management (desirable)

-             Proficient in project cost management, planning, and site supervision

-             Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

-             Full driver’s license and fluent English
